The brief getaway to PD was fun. The kids were nice and all, and yeah, they have that laid-back, fun kind of air about them. Just what I needed.
I REGRET not playing beach volleyball with them. SUMPAH.
But, to make it up, I had the best time playing with the ball in the water.
I teamed up with these close siblings and friends. First game, guys vs. girls.
2nd game, kids vs. the dads. 3rd game, kids vs the parents.
The kids won of course. The older girls weren't so friendly as their younger sisters. But yeah, they're nice enough to invite me to play with them. The boys were so active, even after a whole half day of playing on the beach, then in the pool. And they were really nice and friendly, no poyoronos or whatever.
So at night we had a barbeque and a kareoke. Okay la. The kids invited me and Wani to join them kareoke-ing along. I had to sing My Heart and Seksis. Unbelievable. They were good natured and everything so it wasn't a big deal.
I tell myself, age doesn't matter.

Watching Rachael Ray every morning at 11 am is one thing I look forward to every weekday morning. I actually enjoy her talkshow slash cooking show. I don't watch TV often so that's something. The only show I look forward to is the one I stated, and also Kyle XY.
I was bummed when Supernatural had to be stopped and Kyle XY took its spot, but not anymore. Muahaha. Puaka Niyang Rapik or whatever its name is, is the closest I can get to a horror movie/series. And while waiting for Kyle XY, I'd watch a little Homegrown.
And of course, Buletin Utama when it is 8 pm.
I don't subscribe to Astro, and I'm kinda glad my parents won't. I don't have to sit in front of the TV watching numerous tempting channels all day. My siblings won't have to fight over what to watch.
Maybe I could use a little help from TV-loving people who don't have Astro? Takkan CSI tak tunjuk kat Ntv7 ke apa? =\

When it was over, Barry Manilow's I Write The Songs was playing. A familiar tune, a song I've loved since ever, seriously.
Abah started singing to it, so I asked who was the singer. Ya lah, I know a lot of songs but dunno the artists. Like most people kot. ^^
In between the lyrics, Abah replied,

Hearing that, I immediately typed it into the unsent messages folder in my phone.
After Manilow's song, another witty song I liked played.

Truth be told, I really miss the songs I used to listen since I was really young on Lite FM, which was Light and Easy before. It feels like I'm never gonna hear these songs again in the future. The oldies when I'm 20-something would be the hits now. Losing or not hearing all the songs my parents grew up with and loved is something I don't want to face.
I'll always remember the days I sang to Journey's Open Arms in the car when I was six or so.
